Speech Arts – Junior and Intermediate Shakespeare and Shakespeare Duos will take place on Wednesday evening, June 1. This is a change from previous years.
All dance music is to be submitted by email before the Provincial festival. However backup CDs must still be brought to the festival.
Musical Theatre – Competitors MUST set the scene for each piece performed. The introduction does not need to be long or complicated, but the audience and adjudicator must be told the title of the piece to be performed, the musical it comes from and very briefly how it fits into the story.
Provincial National classes for Chamber Music, Woodwinds, Brass and Guitar will take place on Friday, June 3 with the final concert, participation in which is a requirement for winners, on Saturday, June 4. Provincial National Piano classes may start on Friday, June 3 – please watch the tentative schedule carefully, but will certainly take place on Saturday, June 4. Provincial National String, Classical Voice and Musical Theatre classes will be on Saturday, June 4.
Please read the Provincial dance syllabus carefully, as there are substantial changes for 2016. Each dancer must perform 2 contrasting dances.
