All dance music is to be submitted by email before the Provincial festival. However backup CDs must still be brought to the festival.
Please read the Provincial dance syllabus carefully, as there are substantial changes for 2016. Each dancer must perform 2 contrasting dances.
Speech Arts – Junior and Intermediate Shakespeare and Shakespeare Duos will take place on Wednesday evening, June 1. This is a change from previous years.
All string, woodwind, brass and guitar players and chamber music groups should consider entering the Canadian Music class in addition to their main class. All instrumentalists will play one Canadian piece divided up only by level. See page 17 of the Provincial Syllabus for further information.
Musical Theatre – Competitors MUST set the scene for each piece performed. The introduction does not need to be long or complicated, but the audience and adjudicator must be told the title of the piece to be performed, the musical it comes from and very briefly how it fits into the story.
